Taming Effectiveness — How to Get Perfect Tames
- Use kibble, not raw food: Kibble gives higher effectiveness and faster taming. Raw meat / crops = penalty.
- Don't let the creature take damage: Any hit after KO reduces effectiveness. Build spike walls / taming pen.
- Starvation method: Let creature wake up hungry, then feed kibble — eats faster, higher effectiveness.
- Narcotic management: Use narcoberries, not narcotics, for herbivores. Narcotics are overkill and waste resources.
- Bonus levels formula: 50% of effectiveness becomes bonus levels. At 99.9% effectiveness → +49 bonus levels (max +74 at official rates).
