Step 1 — First 5 Minutes: Don't Die
- Punch a tree: 1 wood + 1 stone on hotbar → craft Stone Pick. Now punch a tree with pick → more wood + thatch.
- Pick up loose stones: Don't punch boulders yet. Walk the beach looking for small stones on the ground.
- Eat berries immediately: Punch bushes, eat all berries except narcoberries (black ones put you to sleep).

Step 3 — Leveling Priorities (First 30 Levels)
- Lv 1-10: Tools → Campfire → Thatch structures → Cloth armor → Bola (for taming)
- Lv 10-20: Bow + Tranq arrows → Wood structures → Smithy → Crossbow → Raft
- Lv 20-30: Longneck Rifle + Tranq darts → Stone structures → Pteranodon saddle → Smithy crafting
Step 4 — Tame Your First Creatures
- First tame: Parasaur (Lv 9 saddle). Bola it → tranq arrows to head → feed narcoberries → mejoberries. Free weight mule and early berry gatherer.
- Second tame: Pteranodon (Lv 38 saddle). Bola → 1-2 tranq arrows to head → feed raw meat. Your first flyer — game changer for scouting.
- Third tame: Ankylosaurus (Lv 36 saddle). Best metal/flint/crystal gatherer. Pair with Argentavis to airlift it to metal nodes.
Common Beginner Mistakes
- Building on the beach and staying there → move inland to metal/obsidian-rich zones by Lv 30
- Ignoring taming — dinos are NOT optional in ARK. Tame early, tame often.
- Wasting engram points — don't learn everything. Prioritize. Mindwipe tonic can reset later.
- Logging off outside — always log off inside a locked structure. Offline raiding is real.
